Sutureless amniotic membrane transplantation for ocular surface reconstruction with a chemically defined bioadhesive

A drop of the bioadhesive was put onto the bare sclera from the tip of the syringe (A), and then the squarely trimmed AM was transferred into the place with the epithelial basement membrane side up (B and C). Excess fluid that extruded from the interface was rubbed off with a sponge and approximately 3 min elapsed before the AM was fixed. Immediately after sutureless AMT, AM was firmly secured on the bare sclera (D).
